BBSS moves to Somerset

Following a highly successful 2016 course in Framingham, the world famous Brass Band Summer School is delighted to announce Queen's College, Taunton as its venue for 2017.

Queen's College's magnificent buildings and beautiful grounds combine to make it one of Taunton's most unique venues for residential courses, with a wide range of rooms and spaces including:

Queen's Hall - One of the biggest auditoriums in the area.

Performing Arts Centre - A stunning room with mullioned windows equipped with a sound and lighting desk and retractable seating for 100 people.

Old Music Room - A beautiful wood-panelled room providing an intimate setting for smaller concerts, lectures and presentations.

Drama Studio - A state-of-the-art studio theatre boasting full theatre sound and lighting systems; a highly flexible space for workshops, rehearsals and performances.

Queen's College also boasts an indoor swimming pool, sports hall, a number of well-maintained grass pitches, and 22 all weather tennis courts.

Taunton itself is a thriving, forward-looking town where modern life sits alongside relics of its dramatic past dating back to Saxon times.

The 2017 course (6th - 12th August) will once again feature a world class faculty including:
