Location: Queen's College

Queen’s College’s magnificent buildings and beautiful grounds combine to make it one of Taunton’s most unique venues for residential courses. The college boasts a wide range of rooms and spaces including:

Queen’s Hall - One of the biggest auditoriums in the area.

Performing Arts Centre - A stunning room with mullioned windows equipped with a sound and lighting desk and retractable seating for 100 people.

Old Music Room - A beautiful wood-panelled room providing an intimate setting for smaller concerts, lectures and presentations.

Drama Studio - A state-of-the-art studio theatre boasting full theatre sound and lighting systems; a highly flexible space for workshops, rehearsals and performances.

Queen’s College also boasts an indoor swimming pool, sports hall, a number of well-maintained grass pitches, and 22 all weather tennis courts.

Found to be of a high and often excellent standard in all recent independent inspections, food at Queen's is prepared on site especially for the Brass Band Summer School. Delegates may choose from cooked, continental or American style breakfasts with unlimited fruit juice, tea and coffee; an impressive variety at lunch and dinner including curries, pasta dishes, salads and an array of traditional cooked meals. Delegates are of course welcome to ‘eat out’ off campus, but three meals a day are provided within the basic Brass Band Summer School package.
